As most of you already know, Barack Obama is the United States Predident elect. First of all, I would like to say congratulations to Mr. Obama. He ran his political race intelligently, and I guess that attributes alot to how he won.
However, the real reason Im posting something here is because I just really want to state my opinion on this subject. I didnt support Obama. I guess Im more of a McCain guy, but I really didnt like him too much either. I just agreed with him on some things. I gotta say though, I think the real reason Obama won, is because of a few key reasons. (1) There is a lot of anti-bush ideas scurrying around the country, so any person who doesnt feel like indulging themselves in what is being debated, and just wants to hop on the
"Screw Bush" Bandwagon goes ahead and votes for the canidate who represents the opposite of the party that Bush represented. This just happens to be Obama. and its not just because of the anti-bush stuff. Obama is just more appealing to people on the surface. He doesnt look as old as McCain does, so people form the idea that its the cool thing to support Obama.(2)Secondly there are alot of smart democrats and republicans who support Obama because they actually think about what he wants to do, compares it to what they believe, and decided to support him. These are the people I respect the most. They actually think about what is the right thing to do before actually voting on what they believe.(3) Finally, there is the Black Population of America. Before I state anything, Im just going to say that I am NOT racist towards african americans. I myself am Bi-ratial(Half White Half black). But it really disturbs me when people vote for this guy just because he looks like them. almost all the black people I know went for Obama just because he was black. and He isnt. He's a halfzy, like me
